This Covid situation has really been a time for mindfulness and self-respection: what are the things that truly matter and reclaiming time for self.
In someways, I'm trying to see the silver linings. We finally moved into a small home of our own, and am currently obsessed with Japonisme, a very serene read about Japanese values and principles in leading an enriched life.
We started to get experimentive on cooking versus ordering out all the time; this is a dish invented by my sis-in-law @theoneandonlyjools: just toss in pasta, canned corn and tuna, a hard-boiled eggs and mix together.
And I finally had the space and freedom to indulge in my inner plant mom tendencies, at point of writing I have about 15 green babies. One thinks Ill have an indoor jungle before my furniture reaches me ha. Pictured here is a rarer Caladium Strawberry Star, and the joy you have after patience and effort growing a green baby is indescribable.
I have hope the world and us as humans, can find ourselves during this dark time and reflect how to emerge out to be better and do better. Life after all, is what we make of it.
